The 360 Bridge is one of the most accessible and romantic outlooks in Austin. Doing a photoshoot here has been on my list since I first discovered this breathtaking location almost half a year ago. Especially because it faces west, it is beautiful for watching the sun set. But also due to its perfect view of the sunset, there's always a crowd every day from 5pm until dusk.
As a somewhat self-conscious one-woman blog show, I definitely prefer some level of privacy when taking pictures. However, every time I have visited the outlook there has always been little opportunity for seclusion– even at 8am in the morning. Feeling very motivated and determined, I dragged my butt up the 5-minute hike at 7am on a Sunday morning to hopefully snag some decent lighting.
It turns out I was rewarded for my efforts. I was the first photographer out on the cliff that morning and this has become one of my favorite shoots to-date. Honestly, I felt like a princess in my Vivienne Tam maxi (layered with an Anthro tee) watching the sun rise. The sun coming from the east ended up giving just the right amount of glow to make this morning shoot feel straight out of a fairytale.
Have you also put in extra effort, just to get that perfect selfie? Let me know in the comments!
