One of the most memorable films I've ever seen is Henry Selick's Coraline. I saw it for the first time in 2009 and was scared so silly I couldn't sleep for days! I was shocked that it was a children's book and movie. Even so, the animations are captivating, and the storyline really finds a place in your heart. Coraline's bravery is admirable, and her overcoming of her fears and personal battles is commendable.
In planning this costume, I was hesitant about dying my hair blue because my husband and I are going on a super belated honeymoon in November. And as cool as blue hair is, it wasn't really part of our beach plans. Fortunately I stumbled upon Garnier's Color Styler in Blue Burst this past weekend and blue hair became a reality. I took a lot of inspiration from Prettyscary's Coraline, but decided to tone down the makeup a bit for the office today. :)
This is my interpretation of Coraline Jones, I hope you like it. Happy Halloween!!!
