These are basic pieces I've had in my closet forever (sans the new Chaco sandals) that when paired together, take me back a couple of decades. I love this outfit because it's so loungy and lazy. Albeit on the tamer side of 90s grunge fashion, with a bold lip and a little bit of bronzer, it does complete the full time warp. And remember when I said I love muted/dull pastels and pinks? It's an easy way to transition straight into fall and winter– new color palette love.
Finding a location for a grungy 'tude shoot with good lighting in the evening proved to be much harder than I thought. I tried three other places before stumbling here. The funny thing is that this backdrop is right next to a local park parking lot. The other problem I tend to have with shoots is that I'm super self conscious about taking pictures of myself. Also, the idea of a stranger running up and grabbing my tripod and camera is just terrifying. The idea of someone running out of these sewers tunnels behind me... also terrifying! At least for now, we can say that neither happened.
