It's been nearly a month since I've written a blog post. And I'm finally writing this post today on my lunch break while eating a bag of cheesy poofs. Taking pictures and editing has always come more naturally to me than words. I struggle a lot with putting thoughts on a page and describing true emotions. Am I using the right words? Why are my thought processes so jumbled? What kind of evil blogger just word-vomits all over her readers?
This back and forth-ness of my wavering confidence has resulted in the most ridiculous backlog of food posts. Yes... only food posts, not fashion. Let's be honest... as a work-from-home gal, on a day-to-day basis, I eat WAY more than I put on clothes. Also, the other dark truth is that taking photos of other people's work (i.e. restaurant food) just requires less effort than styling my own clothes and donning on makeup. This isn't to say I enjoy one more than the other. I've always had divided attention for both.
The other pet project that has been keeping me away from Aye, Sir! is Inspirely.me. Elysia and I dreamt up this idea in 2012 to create a style blog inspired by ordinary things. As you can see, we're in the middle of 2015. Nonetheless, I'm passionate and driven to stand by our vision and see that project through. For those of you interested in following along our #87daysofvintage journey, feel free to stop by there.
So what does this mean for Aye, Sir! Ally? Not too much. Over time, I think you'll see this space becoming more of an amalgamation of food posts and lifestyle happenings (not that it's not already that). You might notice less outfit posts than before, and IF you think it's because I stopped wearing clothes... it actually is partly that! But for now, don't worry your happy little heads... I've got this huge queue of posts to pump out. Break's over.
What I'm Wearing
Groceries Apparel 3/4 sleeve crop top
Dolce Vita Aztec pattern skirt (2011)
TJ Maxx clutch (2010?)
Steve Madden Slinky slides (2000s)
MUFA lippie in Satin Blueberry
